Memorandum of Agreement
This agreement, was resigned in August 2010 between NMDHB and the manawhenua O Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka a Maui, established a partnership based on the Treaty of Waitangi with a vision of improving Maori health outcomes.
District Strategic Plan
This ten year strategic plan from 2002 – 2012 was prepared as a draft early in 2002 and, after a consultation period, the plan was amended and sent to the Minister of Health for approval. The adopted plan is available here as well as in public libraries. The plan has a ten-year timeframe and must be reviewed every 3 years.
District Annual Plan
The District Annual Plan (DAP) outlines the planned activity of the NMDHB for financial year from 1 July through to 30 June.
Statement of Intent
Each year the Board publishes a Statement of Intent (SOI) as required of government agencies by the Public Finance Act. This is a formal accountability document which is, essentially, a summary of the Annual Plan and details what the Board will achieve during the financial year, including financial statements. It is available here once it has been signed off by the Minister of Health and tabled in Parliament.
Annual Report 09/10
This report produced about October/November each year (for the previous financial year) reports on the board's achievements in relation to the Statement of Intent. It is available here once it has been signed off by the Auditors and tabled in Parliament.
South Island Regional Health Services Plan
The SI Regional Health Services Plan (SIRHSP) reflects the increasing emphasis on regional services planning as the key vehicle for fostering collaboration, addressing future challenges and strengthening DHB performance against national objectives. The SIRHSP aims to develop a system that is clinically and financially sustainable; a system that ensures equity of access to services across all population groups; and a system that makes better use of available resources.
