Outpatient clinics

Antenatal clinic

Lead maternity carers (LMCs) and GPs can refer for an obstetric consultation. An obstetrician and gynaecology consultant will then see referred patients in an outpatients clinic.

Gynaecology clinic

GPs can refer patients to a gynaecology specialist who will see patients in an outpatients clinic.

Colposcopy clinic

Colposcopy is an examination of the cervix, using a microscope called a colposcope.  A colposcope magnifies the cervix and vaginal wall so that any abnormal cells can be seen.

Surgery

If there is a need for a surgical intervention then this will be discussed with you at clinic first.  If required, surgical interventions may be performed at either  Nelson or Wairau Hospitals.
