Nelson Marlborough District Nursing Service delivers specialist nursing care in the community. We provide care both in the home and in a clinic setting, depending on patient’s needs.
Our services include education and nursing care around a range of services such as:
- Specialist wound care
- Stoma management
- Continence management
- Intravenous medications administration
- Catheter management
- Palliative care
- Respiratory and oxygen maintenance
- ACC nursing services
- Complex condition management
- Oncology education and follow up.
Referrals into the District Nursing Service are organized prior to discharge from hospital, by your GP or from other health care professionals.
District Nursing clinics are held at:

- Wairau Hospital.
