About endocrinology 

Endocrinology is a branch of medicine dealing with diseases of the endocrine system.

Patients will see an endocrinologist for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by problems with hormones.

Patients with a suspected hormone disorder may be referred to an endocrinologist at Nelson or Wairau hospital.
