Transport & shuttle services
The St John and Red Cross organisations offer shuttle services to transport people to and from hospital.
These services are community-based, run by volunteers, and rely on user donations.
These are regional services – patients needing to travel outside of their region for treatment may be eligible for financial assistance through the National Travel Assistance Scheme.
The Nelson Marlborough Health patient travel team arranges the transport of patients between its facilities.

Community vehicle service
