The benefits of breastfeeding on the health and welfare of babies is the focus of the 2018 World Breastfeeding Week, 1-7 August. The slogan for this year is ‘Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life’.
During the week New Zealanders celebrate, support and promote breastfeeding by joining in the global ‘Big Latch On’ event.
Thousands of women will simultaneously breastfeed their babies in public this Friday (3 August) from 10am in the nationwide annual Big Latch On event. All breastfeeding mums, partners, whanau and supporters are welcome to attend.

Nelson: Victory Community Centre, 2 Totara St, Nelson South. Registration from 9.45am. Latch on 10.30am Mums and toddlers welcome. Plunket is sponsoring morning tea.
