The Nelson Marlborough District Health Board's Annual Plan outlines the key activities planned for the Nelson Marlborough health system over the coming financial year (1 July to 30 June). In accordance with the New Zealand Health and Disability Amendment Act 2010, it also incorporates the Nelson Marlborough DHB’s Statement of Intent.  The Statement of Intent is our key accountability document to Parliament, which includes targets and measures of both financial and non-financial performance.

The Annual Plan also explains our strategic context and how our intended activity an​d outputs relate to our vision and the achievement of our long-term goals for improving the health of our community.

System Level Measures Plan 2016-17

System Level Measures are high-level aspirational goals for the health system that align with the five strategic themes of the Health Strategy and other national strategic priorities, with a focus on children, youth and vulnerable populations.

The Top of the South Health Alliance (ToSHA) has jointly developed an Improvement Plan and has identified the necessary actions to achieve the targets and improve the health of people in the Nelson Marlborough region.
