Nelson Environment Centre and Nelson Marlborough Public Health Service have partnered to launch a new initiative that creates sustainable community access to affordable fruit and vegetables. Introducing the Hapori Fruit & Veg Box!

Victory Community Centre are our first community partner in the programme and have been on board from the start, helping shape the design and delivery to meet the needs of the community.

Kai ora, hapori ora! Healthy food, healthy community!

What does it cost | He aha te utu?

A fruit and veg box costs $15. This is 30% off the cost of an equivalent amount of produce purchased from a supermarket.

What produce will I get | He aha ngā hua māku?

Each week you will get a different selection of fruit and vegetables depending on the season! Follow us on Facebook (@haporifruitandvegbox) for recipe ideas and advice on how to store your produce properly.

Where does the produce come from | Nō hea ngā hua?

The produce is supplied directly from local growers. This means you’ll be supporting local businesses and with less travel the produce will generally be fresher and our carbon footprint much lower.

Who can order | Mā wai e tono?

We are encouraging members of the Victory, Toi Toi, Washington Valley and Bishopdale communities to become involved in this pilot scheme.
