Visiting hours under Level 1
With a move to Alert Level 1 visiting hours at all NMH facilities will revert to the pre-COVID-19 visiting times.
Although we have been able to eliminate the virus from New Zealand for now, we are still in the middle of a global pandemic and we need to be vigilant.
Please remember:
- the more space there is between you and others, the harder it is for viruses and bugs to spread
- visitors are important for patients' recovery, but so is rest. Be mindful of the balance.
- if you are unwell, then please stay home and look after yourself
- continue to wash, wash, wash your hands.
Keep track of where you have been
We encourage you to download the government's tracing app — NZ COVID Tracer. This app works by scanning a QR code on a poster displayed at the hospital entrance.
Patients who have appointments at our hospitals are asked NOT to come in if you are unwell. Please phone the department to let them know (03 546 1800) and seek advice from your GP, medical centre or call Healthline on 0800 611 116
