Students explore healthcare career paths

A team from Nelson Marlborough Health including nurse educators, and representatives from Maori health, physiotherapy, midwifery and dental took part in a Careers Expo at Motueka High School recently.

The theme of the expo was ‘Find Your Path’  and year 11, 12 and 13 students were informed about the new skill sets employers are looking for and encouraged to ask questions about a range of career paths available locally.
Nurse consultant (education), Sandy McLean-Cooper said there was a mix of enquiries from the students, with many of them thinking about a career in healthcare.
