Strengthening our Top of the South health partnerships
Te Piki Oranga, the kaupapa Māori health services provider in Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka o Maui (Nelson/Tasman/Marlborough) has formally joined the Top of the South Health Alliance (ToSHA) as a partner.
The Alliance is a partnership between Nelson Bays Primary Health, Marlborough Primary Health Organisation and Nelson Marlborough Health to better align health services and strategically plan for services around the best outcomes for our population.
Te Piki Oranga Tumuaki -General Manager Anne Hobby is delighted to bring her organisation into the fold.
“After three years in operation, Te Piki Oranga is well-placed and ready to take a stronger lead in shaping healthcare strategy for our people.”
ToSHA meetings are alternately chaired by member organisations’ chief executives. Nelson Bays Primary Health CE Angela Francis chaired the meeting at which Te Piki Oranga was formally welcomed as a ToSHA member.
“The Alliance partners collectively plan and deliver integrated health services for the people of Nelson Marlborough across primary, community and hospital settings. It’s pleasing to formalise Te Piki Oranga’s role as a partner in the alliance. Te Piki Oranga kaimahi (staff) provide a critical role to improving Maori Health across our region.”
