Health Consumer Advocate wanted


Would you like to use your experience as a health consumer or patient to improve health services in the Nelson Marlborough region? 

We are recruiting to fill a new position on the Shared Goals of Care project.   

 

Be a voice for the community 

You will help enhance the consumer experience and service integration across the sector.  You'll also help promote equity and ensure services are organised around the needs of people.  

 

We are looking for someone who can: 

  • Attend meetings as requested by the project lead.  Meetings may be held during or outside of usual business hours, in person or via Zoom. 

  • Communicate and share developments with whānau, the community and relevant groups for the purposes of informing and achieving the work.  Ideally, a network of contacts with community groups. 

  • Review and advise on issues, developments and initiatives to enhance the health service delivery, future design and dissemination of health-related information. 

  • You will be working with a member of the Consumer Council who will help mentor and guide you through this project using their expertise and experience.  

  • Be reasonably savvy with technology and access to a computer with internet.  

 

Must be available to start at the commencing of the project on Thursday 22 September from 1pm to 4pm.  

Due to the timeline of the project commencement, there is a quick turnaround time.
