We've joined the international #endPJparalysis movement, starting with the inpatient ward at Wairau and Ward 9 at Nelson Hospital.
Wairau Hospital staff wore their best PJs to work last week to mark the start of this new approach to get patients up, dressed and out of bed for meals.
Getting up and dressed when you are in hospital helps reduce the risk of infection, feel less vulnerable, recover faster, and retain more muscle strength.
