Nelson Marlborough District Health Board is a large organisation employing about 2280 people (working as 1430 FTEs) in a variety of medical, nursing, allied health, support and management/administration roles. We are structured into three divisions: Board Support; Planning, Funding and Population Health; and the Hospital, Health and Disability Services Provider Division. We have two general hospitals in Blenheim (Wairau Hospital) and Nelson City, along with three small rural hospitals (Motueka, Murchison, Golden Bay), a psychogeriatric unit (Alexandra Hospital), community homes for people with disabilities and network of community services.
