General Surgeon position - New Zealand

Wairau Hospital is currently undergoing an exciting new rebuild with a planned completion date of December 2010. There are good support services with laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound, CT and nuclear medicine on site.
This permanent 0.9 FTE Specialist position (72 hours per fortnight) is based in Blenheim. You will hold a specialist qualification vocationally registerable in NZ, along with a current annual practicing certificate. You will be competent over the range of general surgery. A sub specialist interest will be encouraged to complement or support those of other Surgeons within the service. Experience in colorectal surgery and competence in endoscopy will be an advantage. This post offers the opportunity to be actively involved with the development of the district wide service.

Nelson Marlborough District Health Board is engaged in a rebuild of the hospital in Blenheim. This exciting and challenging project will ensure a sustainable Hospital and Health Centre for the Marlborough region.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST ADULT MENTAL HEALTH TEAM

An opening has arisen within the Marlborough Adult Mental Health Team and applications are invited from appropriately qualified and registered clinicians for the position of Clinical Psychologist for a period of up to 12 months form October 09 to cover parental leave.
Based in the town of Blenheim this well established position works in partnership with a fellow psychologist to provide high quality assessment, treatment and review of adults with mental health problems in the Marlborough Region of New Zealand’s South Island.

In Marlborough, Adult Mental Health Services are delivered by an established, multi-disciplinary team based at the Wairau hospital Blenheim.
This team delivers or facilitates a comprehensive clinical resource to those affected by acute or enduring, severe mental illness.
Applications are invited from Registered, Psychiatric or Comprehensive Nurses for the full-time position of Crisis Worker. In addition to management of a caseload, responsibilities include the effective assessment and crisis management of individuals presenting with mental health problems. Normal hours of work are currently between 8am and 430pm Monday to Friday with additional overtime on call required.
Duly Authorised Officer (DAO) duties are a requirement of this position. (Training can be provided)
Applicant should have relevant experience within the mental health sector and the personal and professional attributes required to undertake this challenging role.
