Wairau Hospital, located in Blenheim, New Zealand, is a new purpose built facility with 88 beds. Wairau has a High Dependency Unit, Acute Assessment Unit, 47 bed Inpatient Unit as well as 4 Operating Theatres, Maternity and Paediatrics. Patients who have been referred by the General Practitioner to our specialists are seen in our new Outpatient Clinic.

Here at Wairau Hospital we are currently providing an exciting model of care involving Inpatients, Outpatients, Outreach, Neonatal and Acute assessment presentations in our Paediatric Unit. Our dynamic nursing team is supported by two excellent on site Paediatricians.

The Community Oral Health Service focus upon prevention of oral health disease, reducing inequalities in child oral health, and education to improve the health status of children in our community.

We are seeking a person who values teamwork, respects individual needs, and is motivated by excellent clinical outcomes. You will need to be a NZ Registered General or Comprehensive Nurse, ideally with existing intensive care or coronary care experience, who is keen to work in a busy, well-equipped, friendly and caring environment.
Applicants without intensive care or coronary care experience will be considered if you have a strong medical or surgical nursing background and a commitment to develop skills in critical care.
