Nelson Marlborough District Health Board provides health services through two base hospitals, Nelson Hospital and Wairau Hospital, Blenheim.
You will be part of a dedicated team of 4 consultants and a registrar delivering services across the district. The department is well equipped with Retinal and YAG lasers, Spectral domain OCT and is supported by experienced Ophthalmic nurses and there are modern well equipped operating theatres.
This specialist position is a permanent part time position working 48 hours a fortnight (0.6 FTE) with full participation in the on call roster. Primarily based in Nelson there is a requirement to undertake some clinical sessions in Blenheim Hospital which is approximately 1.5 hours driving time from Nelson. There may also be opportunity to undertake some private practice.
The successful applicant should hold FRANZCO or an equivalent qualification, enabling specialist registration with the New Zealand Medical Council, together with a current annual practicing certificate.

In Marlborough, Adult Mental Health Services are delivered by an established, multi-disciplinary team based at the Wairau hospital Blenheim.
This team provides a comprehensive clinical resource to those affected by acute or enduring, severe mental illness.
Applications are invited from current NZ Registered, Psychiatric or Comprehensive Nurses, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists for this position.
Applicants should have had previous experience with turoro who have a mental illness, in addition to demonstrable experience in tikanga Maori and Te Reo.
In addition to management of a caseload, responsibilities include the effective assessment and crisis management of individuals presenting with mental health problems.

At Nelson Marlborough District Health Board we work with the people of our community to promote, encourage and enable their health, well-being and independence. We are currently seeking applications from New Zealand Registered Midwifery Graduates for our first year of practice programme.
This is a twelve month fixed term position, designed to assist your transition to practice. The programme provides a supportive environment and will help prepare you for your first Midwifery Standards Review. This role is focused on working in partnership with our maternity clients to achieve optimum health and well-being through appropriate assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and education.
This position would be best suited to an enthusiastic person who values teamwork, respects individual needs and enjoys working within a close knit team.
