This permanent 0.8 FTE specialist position (64 hours per fortnight) is based in Nelson but with the expectation that some sessions may be undertaken in Blenheim. The position, therefore, may require travel within the District.
The successful applicant should hold FRANZCO or an equivalent qualification, enabling specialist registration with the New Zealand Medical Council, together with a current annual practicing certificate.

DBT Programme Manager

The role of the DBT Programme Manager is to contribute to the delivery of the residential therapeutic programme. They will be actively involved in a programme that involves counselling, group work, DBT skills training and such other skill development and clinical management of residents as may be necessary.
The DBT Programme Manager will assist the Clinical Director and the General Manager to achieve the effective operation of the residential therapy programme by taking part in the completion of specific tasks which aid in meeting the following major areas of service provision:
- the development of services that are within the policies set by the TWM Board and the bounds of good professional practice
- the development and support of a professional, adaptable and effective staff team
- the development and maintenance of a quality assurance procedures
You will need to have:
- Management experience with collaborative leadership approach working with a team
- Clinical experience with some training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (Intensive DBT Training preferred, however, for the right person may be negotiated)
- Experienced group facilitator/trainer ( DBT Skills training experience preferred)
- Relevant Advanced Degree in human services
A minimum two year commitment, or three would be preferred and the starting date is 2 January 2011, with orientation starting 6 December 2010 and a holiday break between.

Due to retirement Marlborough Adult Mental Health Service requires a Psychiatrist to work in this popular, attractive and developing region of South Island New Zealand.
You will need the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification vocationally registerable in New Zealand.
Based in the town of Blenheim, clinical practice is community oriented with full MDT delivery.
Continuity of care is assured with access to inpatient and community facilities however no out of hours or call out work involved.
