A Quick Overview
Nelson Marlborough District Health Board both funds and provides health services in Nelson and Marlborough. This is facilitated through two separate entities that work together.
NMDHB’s Planning and Funding division manages the planning and funding of health services.

The Provider Division has a service agreement with the NMDHB Planning and Funding division in the same way as other health providers in the region.
The Provider Division is infact the predominant provider of publicly funded health services in Nelson and Marlborough. It provides an extensive range of services and manages patient facilities that extend across the top of the South Island.
